The 45 features Rovers stepspeed gear box with two drive options. Firstly move the gearbox into 'drive' & it performs like a normal automatic changing up and down as required. The second option is to use the 'stepspeed' option where the driver can effect a gearchange up or down by simply pushing the gear selector forward or pulling it backwards, there is no clutch to depress and you can switch between full automatic mode and 'stepspeed mode' at any speed while driving. The ride quality is excellent with comfortable seats and switches that are logicaly placed. The boot is of a good size and when the rear seats are dropped gives an excellent load area for larger items to be transported.
